Caz Tanner is a producer and filmmaker with ten years of experience creating video content around the world. Her work has covered stories from childhood education in the slums of Kenya (digital short: Slum Dreams, 2014) to malaria elimination efforts in the Thai-Burma borderlands (digital short: The Malaria War, 2016). Her short film In Her Shoes: India (2018) won a 2020 Webby-award.
As the manager of production at Matador Network, Caz produces award-winning online video content for brands such as Hilton Hotels, Ford Motor Company, Norwegian Airlines, and national tourism boards. Caz was the lead producer on the Black travel series Phil Good Travel, whose Zagreb episode won Gold in the Society of American Travel Writers’ Lowell Thomas Journalism Competition, beating the BBC and CBS.
Caz is also pursuing a master’s degree in psychology through Liverpool John Moores University and is studying the transformational ability for media to cause a shift in viewer perspective.
