Rani is a 17-year-old from Mumbai. Like most girls her age, she likes Instagram, boys and good food. But Rani is also the daughter of a sex worker, and she grew up hearing, “a whore’s daughter can only be a whore.” Follow filmmakers Doree Simon and Caz Tanner as they explore women’s empowerment efforts around the world in a new original series, In Her Shoes. Episode one features a-day-in-the-life of Rani — who is transcending her circumstances and helping her community along the way.

Visit Britain: England's Heartland

A video to encourage visitors from the U.S. to fly into Birmingham and explore parts of England other than London. The client was Visit Britain, the national tourism board for the United Kingdom.

The Malaria War: Race Against Time

After learning about the threat of drug-resistant malaria in the Thai-Burma border, I travelled to document the work of the Malaria Elimination Task Force at the Shoklo Malaria Research Unit. This was a personal project that I produced and filmed in January 2015.

Love Letter to Colorado

This project entailed shooting at over 10 national and state parks across Colorado. I organized the permissions and permits for the locations and handled all logistics involved in setting up everything the filmmaker would need for his two-week roadtrip across all four corners of Colorado. 

Slum Dreams

I spent four weeks in Kenya during the summer of August 2014 to raise awareness about the work of a non-profit that empowers youth through access to education and mentoring. I was the cinematographer on this short film. It's been screened at over 20 film festivals around the world.

This is a trailer for the online multimedia magazine I developed for the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. I went on to produce and direct video content for four issues of this magazine, creating 12 short documentary films about successful alumni across cities in both the U.S. and China.
